DOCK FENDERS

Out pier fenders, with their corresponding anchors give highly reliable results that are correctly dimensioned and assembled to support large workloads.

The tires out of use of large scale mining, used as fenders of pier, are selected under high standards, allowing them to withstand demanding compressions and demonstrated an enormous capacity to recover the integrity by 100% in a few seconds, even with swelling.

FENDERS PROPERTIES

WE DESIGN EVERY DETAIL TO CREATE A WORLD CLASS PRODUCT.
  • Models by their geometric shape cylindrical transferred less compression load dock per m2 after absorbing the kinetic of the ship power, since it has a 4.9 m2 contact area in the front of attack or face earlier, equal to the area of contact in your face rear.
  • The band rolled of each tire (fender made up) is 100 mm making highly elastic to absorb the energy of the ship and – at the same time – achieve a limited force of reaction.
  • Side band each tire is 80 mm, which makes it highly resistant to wear by friction.
  • Union of fender discs are located inside of it, thus avoiding contact with the hull of the ship and the pier.
  • Anchor of the fenders items are free of visors, tabs or sharp edges, avoiding damage to the rubber in tires.
  • Brace chain is a device that restricts the lateral deformation of the fender. Its use meets the need for controlled flexibility and rigidity, necessary conditions in a fender.
  • Treatment of hot-dip galvanization provides disks, kidneys and chains the protection needed to prevent corrosion for a long time.
  • The attack front and back side of the fender are rubber material, ensuring a good coefficient of friction with the hull of the ship and the pier. This property is very important to stabilize the ship moored alongside with swelling.
  • The anchoring system is simple and adaptable to the dock wall. Does not require prior preparation of base.
  • Quick disassembly for replacement or maintenance, not requiring greater precision.
  • Spare parts are available in the domestic market.

CERTIFICATION AND WARRANTY

Based on our experience, memory calculation, design engineering, testing laboratory, parts and certified parts and the practical success of our installed dock fenders, Magellan Consulting Group – Magellan Marine Solutions, ensures and certifies their pier fenders by 27,000 hours (extendable upon inspection).

A certificate will be issued by each fender them individualized by their registration number, which will specify the maximum absorption of energy and maximum reaction force.  The certificate will support the defense by 27,000 hours, under rules of operation established in memory of calculation and following the recommendations of the PIANC.

We also have an after-sales service that will answer any inquiry satisfactorily.
